There is an Alentejo expression “vagar”, which can be interpreted as savouring and sharing the simple things in life in coexistence with the world.
An expression that reminds us that we need to take it easy in order to enjoy life, to have time for ourselves and to think, to socialise with each other.
At Casa de Estremoz we embrace this message of balance or rebalance with nature, this “vagar”, this message of restraint, of slowing down and paying attention, when the world is constantly pushing us to speed up.
